COVID-19 or better known as the coronavirus is a deadly virus that started in Wuhan, China. The virus attacks the lungs, making it hard to breathe. This virus has symptoms, though most people ignore them since they think that it is not the true coronavirus symptoms.
Some symptoms of the novel coronavirus are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some people who have contracted the virus may experience pain and aches, nasal congestion, a runny nose, and(oh boy, this one is funny) diarrhea. Some people may not even have any symptoms but still have contracted coronavirus.
The virus is commonly thought to be airborne. But, this myth is not true. The droplets containing this virus are too heavy to remain in the air and so they sink down to tables, desks, floors, etc.
We are still trying to find a vaccine to cure this virus. A German scientist has thought to have discovered a cure to the virus, but it might not work on everyone. Even if the treatment were to be truly a vaccine, there is a major shortage of the vaccine anyways.
The virus is a pandemic, meaning that it has spread to multiple parts of the world. So far, most countries, if not all, have had some people who have contracted this virus. This is a live count of those countries that have people with the virus and how many people there are with the novel coronavirus https://google.com/covid19-map/?hl=en.
The coronavirus has affected many different people in many different ways. There are both short-term and long-term effects. Some short-term effects are airline stocks are going down and the global economy is in danger. Some long-term effects would be the memories of this virus such as what happened and how school was canceled. :)
All in all, the virus is deadly and spreads rapidly. Some people aren’t concerned about which, personally, is pretty stupid considering how many people the virus has killed. To overcome this, we need to wash our hands more often, and practice social distancing.
